LAP members Dr. Voudouri, Dr. Michailidis, and PhD candidate G. Peletidou presented their work (https://www.earthcare-validation-2025-2.org/poster-list-demos) at the 2nd ESA-JAXA EarthCARE In-Orbit Validation Workshop (March 17-20, 2025), that took place at the ESA Centre for Earth Observation (ESRIN) in Frascati, Italy. The workshop focused on validating early EarthCARE mission data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability for advancing atmospheric and climate research.

G. Peletidou presented her poster “First Intercomparison of EarthCARE’s ATLID Level 1 and Level 2 Aerosol Products with Ground-Based Lidar Observations in Thessaloniki, Greece”.
K. Michailidis presented his poster “Synergistic exploitation of aerosol products using polar-orbiting and geostationary passive satellites in conjunction with the EarthCARE mission”.
K.A. Voudouri contributed with a poster entitled “Evaluation of the EarthCARE aerosol classification scheme using ACTRIS/EARLINET automated aerosol typing methods”, where she discusses the evaluation of the EarthCARE aerosol classification scheme by comparing its performance with the ACTRIS/EARLINET dataset and the predominant aerosol types identified by the different algorithms developed within them.
